Hmm . . . I was just thinking about my art. Or whatever it is I do. xD

I just find it so funny how it's evolved, and I'm sure you've all experienced this too. Not only in terms of how good it is--though that's certainly something, I look back on my work from 9 months ago and shudder. But content, and after having read 's really kind of important thoughts on what the dA community does to an artist's work, it's kind of an interesting case. I know when I was little, way before I was involved at all with the internet my art was always part of stories, not really illustrating because the art came first and the stories came later. That itself branched off into creative writing, a whole part of my life right now that I know drawing gave me. So I wonder now if my art has been so influenced by all the eat-or-be-eaten art popularity politics here on deviantART. I hope I haven't changed myself so much to try to attract more watchers or whatever but it remains that while I still love what I do it's different than what I did before. It at least is a reminder not to forget to do the other kinds of art I've loved.

Just a thought, not bitter or anything, just thinking. It's a good think to do. ^^
